Explanation of Technical Terms

In Clever Cat Manuals One and Two there has been a terminology section included. This explains in everyday language what some of the more technical terms are.

There will be some technical terms with their meanings that are listed for you below. Feel free to refer to these as many times as you need.

Literacy - knowing how to read and spell

Consonant - any letter from the alphabet that does NOT include a, e, i, o, u. The consonants are as follows: b, c, d, f, g, h, j, k, l, m, n, p, q, r, s, t, v, w, x, y, z.

Consonant Blend - two or more consonants written or spoken side-by-side where you say each corresponding sound e.g.

• "sp" as you say in "spoon"
• "st" as you say in "stop"
• "pr" as you say in "price" etc
